SUPERINTENDENT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Purpose: To encourage and provide guidelines for the Superintendent’s professional development.
Policy: The Board encourages the Superintendent to continue professional growth by being involved in professional organizations, attending conferences, continuing his/her education, and participating in other professional activities.
The Superintendent shall arrange the schedule of events in order to enable his/her attendance at various conferences and events. If a conference or event requires the Superintendent to be absent from the office for more than three days, or involves unusual expense, the Superintendent shall bring it to the attention of the Board President prior to application to the event.
The Superintendent shall report to the board about each event attended.
