PROGRAM FOR TALENTED AND GIFTED
The board recognizes some students require programming beyond the regular education program.
Students with special abilities will be identified and provided appropriate education programming.
This programing will provide for academic and social-emotional learning needs of students
who have demonstrated achievement or potential ability, or both, in any of the following areas
or in combination:
* Creative thinking
* General intellectual ability
* Leadership ability
* Visual and performing arts ability
* Specific ability aptitude
It is the responsibility of the superintendent or designee to develop a talented and gifted program which
provides for identifying students, for program evaluation, and for training of employees.
