MEETINGS
Purpose: To provide guidelines for Board meetings.
Policy: Regular meetings of the Board shall be held on the third Monday of each month. Board work sessions, and special meetings, shall be held on the first Monday of each month.
All meetings shall be held in the meeting place officially designated by the Board.
Additional special meetings may be held as determined by the Board, or called by the President, or by the Secretary upon the request of a majority of the Directors. A twenty-four (24) hour notice of a special meeting shall be given to all Directors. The agenda for a special meeting shall be limited to that item or items for which the special meeting is called. Special meetings shall be held in the location specified for regular meetings unless otherwise announced in the notice of the meeting.
Meetings of the Board shall be open to the public.
A governmental body may hold a closed session only by affirmative public vote of either two-thirds of the members of the body or all of the members present at the meeting. (Iowa Code 21.5)
