ILLNESS OR DISABILITY
Purpose: To provide guidelines for the Board’s options in cases of extended illness or disability of administrators.
Policy: Should an administrator be unable to perform any or all of his/her duties by reason of illness, accident or other cause beyond his/her control and the administrator has exhausted all illness or disability leave to which he/she is entitled, the administrator may be granted an extended leave of absence. If such disability continues for more than twelve (12) months, the Board may, at its option, terminate the existing contract.
