Welcome to Strawberry Hill Elementary
On behalf of the entire staff here at Strawberry Hill Elementary, I want to welcome each of you to the upcoming school year. I want you to know that I am both excited and challenged to be serving as your elementary principal during this pandemic. First and foremost, I want to take an opportunity to personally thank our community partners, families and public health officials for their unwavering support throughout these ever-changing times in education. I look forward to working alongside our very dedicated staff and new assistant principal, Mr. Eric Butikofer, to provide a top notch educational experience for your child throughout the entire school year.
Strawberry Hill Elementary serves approximately 490 students in preschool through 4th grade. Our main goal is to prepare each student for a successful and meaningful life. We are committed to honoring each student as a whole child. We continue to do everything in our power to provide a safe, nurturing, supportive and respectful environment. While providing this environment we hope to meet and maximize each individual social and emotional needs. Whether our students are being educated in a face to face hybrid model or in our continuous learning model (remotely) we want to provide the best education and resources for your child(ren).
Our vision at SHE is to Inspire, Believe, Achieve. We expect all students to be Inspired, Believe in themselves and others, and Achieve to their highest levels!
In previous years; letters, emails, and welcomes to our school memos would have welcomed you into the school building because you play a valuable role in your child’s life and we want to be strong partners in education. Unfortunately, for the continued safety of our students, we will not be allowing parents or volunteers into our building this year. We look forward to having you involved in new and different ways throughout the school year. This year, though, I have one additional request for each of you. I am asking that as parents, you be extra diligent and communicate to us what your needs are as a family and what we can do to assist with learning. We have developed and gathered many resources during this pandemic to assist our students and families that we are hoping each family can take advantage of as the need arises.
Classroom communication by elementary staff will be sent out through your child’s See Saw account, which is our learning media platform for learning. Notes, assignments, and student work are posted and communicated with you from teachers and your child. Building or district wide communication will most likely come out through infinite campus in an email to the primary address you have provided us. If you are on facebook we also post our school success on our Strawberry Hill facebook page, too!
Once again, thank you for your continued support through these uncertain times. I ask for your grace and patience as we move forward. With all of us working together, I am confident that the upcoming school year will be a positive learning experience for all students. ~ We are looking forward to another great school year!
