Physical Restraint

PHYSICAL RESTRAINT
Purpose: To provide for the physical restraining of students.
Policy: Administration and personnel may have to exercise physical restraint if and when a
student becomes violent and the action is potentially harmful to the student, other students, or
personnel. Physical restraint of any student shall be exercised with extreme care so as not to
cause serious bodily injury to the student.
Outside professional help shall be contacted if the situation warrants additional or more
professional help.
