With the weather issues we have endured this winter, our cushion of additional instructional hours is running very low. We currently have 1 hour over the required 1080 instructional hours. That does not take into account any additional weather or other issues. It also does not account for an early release on the last day of school. In addition, we need to plan for our Retiree Recognition and Service Award Celebration. We have always used an early release day at the end of the year for that purpose.
Monday, April 6 was initially scheduled as a Professional Development Day and possible weather make-up day on the 2025-2026 Academic Calendar. We plan to move ahead and utilize that weather make-up day and students will now attend school on Monday, April 6.
As of today, the last day of school for students will be Friday, May 22, 2026, and it will be a 3 hour early dismissal.
