Principal’s Message 18-19
Welcome to Strawberry Hill Elementary!! We serve students in 4-year old Preschool through 4th grade. We are planning on tapping everyone’s Super Powers as we gear up for a POW! BLAST! Super Hero themed 2018-2019 school year. The teaching and learning that happens at Strawberry Hill is WHAMtastic! Not all heroes wear capes, many wear Blue and White (#anamosapride). We are proud of our students and show The Raider Way every day. Your child’s academic and social success is our top priority as we work alongside our families to help our children learn and grow.
We are excited about continuing the framework of Professional Learning Communities in our school and district. This structure combined with scheduled time for teachers to collaborate promotes the dynamics to help each child succeed.
Technology plays an important role in our classrooms, which are equipped with iPads, document cameras, and SMART boards. We also have a full MacLab for student learning. These tools enhance our children’s education.
We are in our sixth year of implementing PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), which has been a POWerful framework for how we operate our school. Our four common expectations are Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Ready and Be Respectful. This is THE RAIDER WAY! Combining this system with our academic curriculum and social emotional learning curriculum creates the elements for every child’s success.
We have selected priority standards and created proficiency scales to guide your child’s learning. This is our first year to roll out this work. We are excited to learn from you and your children as we share your child’s progress. The feedback we receive from our families is critically important to our AWESOME staff.
Join our League as we are planning a BANG-up year at Strawberry Hill.

A true hero isn’t measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart!
BAM, BLAST, BOOM!
