We hope that this message finds you and your family healthy and well as we quickly approach the end of the school year. We would like to share a few things regarding the Summer Feeding Program and end of the year family account balances.
We will be providing FREE MEALS TO ALL CHILDREN 18 & UNDER! These meals are intended for all children in our community. Per USDA Regulations we will provide each child one breakfast and one lunch Monday through Friday. The child does not have to be present in order for the guardian or parent to pick up meals. If your child receives free meals while attending summer school, you cannot also receive grab & go multiple day pick up meals for that child as well. The menus are attached to this email.
Grab & Go Ready to Heat-Multiple Day Pick Up
Location: Strawberry Hill Elementary School
Who: Any child in the community 18 & Under
What: 5 Breakfast Meals, 5 Lunch Meals and 10 cartons of milk per child WHEN: Wednesday’s, 11am to 12:00pm with 1st pick up on 6/09

Daily Hot Ready to Eat Grab and Go
Location: Elementary, Middle & High School
Dates: June 7th through June 25th
Who: Any child in the community 18 & under/summer school students What: Hot School Lunch in to-go box/Grab & Go Breakfast
When: Monday through Friday, 11 am to 12 pm
Pick Up: In the cafeteria of any building. No meals will be consumed in the building with the exception of summer school students.
FAMILY ACCOUNT INFORMATION:
- Account balances must reflect a positive or zero balance on the last day of school. Our notification system will be left on for one week after school is out. If you have set a custom level for email notification, you may receive notices that week even though you have a positive balance. As long as you know you have a positive balance, no response is necessary.
- Balances will carry over to next fall and accounts will automatically roll to the building(s) where your students(s) will attend.
- If you know you are leaving Anamosa Community School District permanently, please email me with your name, your students’ names, grades, and forwarding address for refund purposes if applicable. You also have the option of donating your refund to an account within our district that helps needy families and negative balances. Just convey that request via email and we will take care of the details. Thank you for considering this option.
- A new application for free or reduced meals must be submitted each school year. Look for the application on the school website: www.anamosa.k12.ia.us Please sign and return the application form to the office to Tammy Seeley or Deb Carver.
We would also like to take a moment to thank the amazing members of our nutrition services team, and facilities team, as they have been a driving force behind our success in feeding our students. They have been our essential heroes throughout this unprecedented school year.
