April 20, 2020
On Friday, April 17th, Governor Kim Reynolds announced that schools would remain closed until the end of the school year. We at Anamosa Community Schools are sad to know that we will not see our students again face-to-face this year. However, for the time being we will continue to operate under the Voluntary Education Continuous Learning Opportunity and our teachers will continue to reach out to offer educational enrichment for all of our students. We will be making further announcements this spring regarding cleaning out lockers and collecting materials from schools. Thank you to our wonderful community for continuing to support our entire district and for remaining engaged with us. Our Raider Blue Food Crew is also planning to continue delivering meals on Mondays and Wednesdays for any family with children ages 1 – 18. If you would like to sign up please use this food sign-up link. We are also compiling additional resources for our families found on our COVID-19 Resources for Families website. On this website you will find our home learning supports, mental health supports and connectivity options available in our community. We are working to boost our WiFi capabilities to project into our school parking lots. Look for updates on that coming later next week.
