Regular Meeting

April 4, 2011

The Anamosa Board of Education met in regular session on April 4, 2011, at 7:00 p.m., in the high school library with President Tiedt presiding. Members present: Kilburg, McKean, Crump, Darrow and Riniker.

Director Sellnau was absent.

A public hearing was held at this time regarding the 2011-2012 certified budget. Hearing no comments from those in attendance the hearing was closed at 7:02 p.m. by President Tiedt.

A public hearing was held at this time to answer any questions individuals might have about the proposed FY2011 budget amendment. No one present spoke to the matter, so the hearing was declared

closed at 7:04 p.m. by President Tiedt.

Motion by McKean, seconded by Crump to approve the agenda, as printed. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion by Crump, seconded by Riniker to approve the consent agenda (personnel appointments/ adjustments), as submitted. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion by Darrow, seconded by Riniker to approve the 2011-12 certified budget, as presented. Motion

carried 6-0.

Motion by Riniker, seconded by McKean to approve the FY 2011 budget amendment, as presented.

Motion carried 6-0.

Motion by Crump, seconded by Kilburg to release bid bonds for all unsuccessful bids. Motion carried

6-0.

Motion by McKean, seconded by Riniker to approve the following resolution. Resolved, that the Board

of Directors of the Anamosa Community School District, will levy property tax for fiscal year 2011-2012

for the regular program budget adjustment as allowed under section 257.14, Code of Iowa. Motion

carried 6-0.

Motion by Darrow, seconded by Riniker to approve a tuition increase from $85 per month to $95 per

month for three-year old preschool participants effective for the 2011-12 school year. Motion carried

6-0.

No action taken on the 2010-11 student built home listing price at this time.

Motion by Crump, seconded by Riniker to adjourn at 7:30 p.m. Motion carried 6-0.
