The Anamosa Board of Education met in regular session on October 5, 2009, at 7:00 P.M., in the
high school library with President Tiedt presiding.† Members present: Bieber, Riniker, Darrow,
Sellnau, McKean and Crump.
Motion by Darrow, seconded by Riniker to adopt the agenda, as printed.† Motion carried 7-0.
There was no consent agenda information to be reviewed so no action taken on this item.
Motion by Sellnau, seconded by Riniker to approve the Resolution as attached fixing the date of
sale of $7,915,000 school infrastructure sales, services and use tax revenue bonds, series 2010,
and approving electronic bidding procedures.† Motion carried 7-0.
Motion by Bieber, seconded by Darrow to approve out of state trips for the French Club to
France(June 7 - 15, 2010)and the FFA to the National Convention in Indianapolis(October 20 -
24, 2009).†† Motion carried 7-0.
Motion by McKean, seconded by Sellnau to approve the master fund raising calendar for the
2009-10 school year.† Motion carried 7-0.
Motion by Darrow, seconded by Crump to approve the agreement with the Anamosa Association
for Teacher Equality Pay and approve the members of the Teacher Quality Committee, as follows:

Motion by Darrow, seconded by Bieber to go into closed session, at 7:44 P.M., as provided in
section 21.5(1)(i), Code of Iowa, of the open meetings law to evaluate the professional com-
petency of an individual whose hiring is being considered to prevent needless and irreparable
injury to that individualís reputation, as that individual has requested a closed session.† Steve
Theriault hiring issues.† Motion carried 7-0.†
Motion by Darrow, seconded by Bieber to come out of closed session and re-convene the regular
meeting at 9:25 P.M.† Motion carried 7-0.
