Regular Meeting

October 4, 2010

The Anamosa Board of Education met in regular session on October 4, 2010, at 7:00 P.M., in

the high school library with President Tiedt presiding. Members present: Darrow, McKean,

Sellnau,, Riniker and Crump.

Motion by Darrow, seconded by Riniker to adopt the agenda, as printed. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion by Riniker, seconded by McKean to approve the consent agenda(personnel appoint-

ments/adjustments), as submitted. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion by Darrow, seconded by Crump to accept the resignation of Brian Bieber effective

immediately. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion by Riniker, seconded by Sellnau to approve the Residential Listing Contract with Warren

Wortman Realty through March 31, 2011, and the asking price of $209,000. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion by Darrow, seconded by Riniker to set the Public Hearing for the sale of real estate

property for Monday, November 1, at 6:30 P.M. in the high school library. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion by McKean, seconded by Darrow to implement a hiring freeze on any new employees

at this time and use EdJobs money to retain current employees that potentially would need to be

terminated at the end of the school year due to budget restraints. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion by Riniker, seconded by Crump to approve a field trip to Chicago on November 17th for

high school Art/Music/Business students. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion by Darrow, seconded by Sellnau to approve mentoring contracts for the 2010-11 school

year, as submitted. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion by Crump, seconded by Sellnau to adjourn at 8:41 P.M. Motion carried 6-0.
