Keep Iowa Beautiful
The family of Robert E. Byers has established a scholarship through the Keep Iowa Beautiful Foundation for students enrolling in an Iowa college or university. The student must be pursuing studies in the environment, community services, conservation, public service or government, nonprofit management, landscape architecture, or community planning. Northeast Iowa Community College

Jones County Cattlemen's Scholarship
One scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to an outstanding student who is pursuing a career in agriculture. Fields of study may include: ag education, communications, production, research, or any other area involved with the agricultural industry.
The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-conditioning Engineers, Inc., offer a scholarship to students interested in the heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, (HVAC) and refrigeration career field.

This scholarship is open to those students pursuing a bachelor's degree. Matthew Shepard Scholarship

Governor Terry Branstad Iowa State Fair Scholarship
This scholarship, named after former Governor Branstad, recognizes outstanding Iowa high school seniors who have actively participated in the Iowa State Fair. Applications are available online at www.iowacollegeaid.gov.
Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education

Darryl Jahn Memorial Scholarship
The alumni of Beta Sigma Psi Lutheran fraternity will be awarding two scholarships to Lutheran gentlemen entering Iowa State University in the fall of 2009. James B. Morris Scholarship Fund (MSF)

Christina Hixson Award
The Hixson Opportunity Award is a grant of $10,000 ($2,500 per year for four years) to be used at Iowa State University. Applications are available at: www.dso.iastate.edu/hixson/application

Buena Vista University
The University has "redesigned" their financial awards for incoming students. The scholarships have increased in amounts and they have added grants. Check out their information at www.bvu.edu.
Jones County Soil & Water Conservation
The scholarship is available to seniors who are pursuing programs of study in any field of agriculture or natural resources. The application is available online at www.cdiowa.org/awards.html.
All Iowa Opportunity Scholarship
The All Iowa Opportunity Scholarship is a state-funded program that provides scholarships to students who do well in high school and demonstrate financial need. Priority for awards will be given to students who participate in the Federal TRIO Programs while in high school, to applicants who graduate from alternative high schools or alternative high school programs, and to homeless youth. World Class Mediacom Scholarship
Applications are available online at: www.mediacomworldclass.com. All completed scholarship applications must include an essay on leadership, the applicant's school transcript, and two letters of recommendation.
JUNIORS this one is for you - Hills Bank and Trust Company
Hills Bank and Trust and the Iowa 4-H Foundation offer this leadership scholarship to juniors who have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher and demonstrate leadership, entrepreneurship, or other qualities related to community service. American Legion Auxiliary
The Second District American Legion Auxiliary will be awarding their annual Merit Award. The applicant must be either a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; or the daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, sister, wife, son, grandson, great-grandson, brother, widow, husband, or step relative of a WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam, Granada/Lebanon, Panama, Persian Gulf, or present conflict veteran. Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation

Better Business Bureau

Ross Brainard Scholarship
Class of 1972 Graduate Ross Brainard has established a new scholarship. He has established a $5,000 scholarship, which can be renewed each year through college if honor grades are maintained each semester. Students must be on the honor roll, ACT tested, and have financial need. Applications are in the guidance office with a deadline of May 1st.
Founded in 1976, the Conclave is a 501(c)3 non-profit radio education organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The scholarships are for radio/TV broadcasting or the music industry. More information and applications are on the web at: www.radioscholarships.com
The Dale Schroeder Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is provided to students pursuing a bachelor's degree at one of the state universities. Resident of Iowa with a grade point average of at least 2.5. The application and information is on-line at: www.act.org/daleschroeder
Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity

Robert D. Blue Scholarship
Any Iowa student who plans to attend an Iowa college or university is eligible for this award. Applicants are expected to demonstrate literary and scholastic ability; exhibit qualities of truth, courage, and fellowship; and display and moral force of character. Anamosa Rotary Service Award
The Anamosa Rotary Club awards one scholarship to a senior. As Rotary is a service club, emphasis will be place primarily on community service, as well as academic achievement and extra-curricular activities. Any senior who intends to further his/her education at any accredited institution of higher learning. Priority will be given to Interact Club members. Sons or daughters of Rotary members are not eligible. Deadline: May 1st
Anamosa Masonic Scholarship
Scholarship may be used at any accredited two or four year college. School and community service and evidence of potential leadership will be given most weight in selecting the recipient. Application in the guidance office
Marjorie Monroe Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded annually to a qualified, worthy, and needy graduate for the purpose of assisting the recipient in financing his or her post high school education in the field of music. Music teachers/department recommends recipient.
Ruth E. Jump Scholarship
Rank in the upper half of the class, citizenship and service to community, financial need, and commitment to continuing education at a recognized post-high school program during the next academic year. Deadline: April 1st Application in the guidance office
Craig Scott Amundson Memorial Scholarship

Jones Regional Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship
The Jones Regional Medical Center Auxiliary offers a $500 scholarship in each high school in Jones County. The applicant must pursue degree in a health-related field. Application in the guidance office.
Helen English RN Healthcare Career Scholarship
The English family of Anamosa offers a scholarship to a senior applicant who is pursuing a degree in healthcare, preferably nursing. Application in guidance office. Deadline: April 15

Lewis A. Helphand Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the family of Lewis A. Helphand. Mr. Helphand was born and educated in Anamosa. The son of Russian-Jewish immigrants, he worked his way through school and moved to Chicago to work as a CPA. Throughout his life he never forgot his hometown, the value of education, and the value and rewards of honesty, decency, and hard work. In determining eligibility, the recipient shall have demonstrated a dedication to hard work, academic achievement, and financial need. Deadline: Early May Application in the guidance office.
Anamosa Athletic Booster Scholarship
Any senior at the Anamosa High School who has participated through athletics while in high school and is intending to further his/her education at a technical school, a two-year college, or a four-year college/university is eligible to apply. Application in the guidance office. Deadline: Early May

Anamosa Progressive Business Women's Scholarship

Izaak Walton League Scholarship
Scholarship is awarded to deserving graduates who will be going on to further their education in any one of the following areas: biology, forestry, conservation, wildlife management, environment protection, and land stewardship. Application in the guidance office. Deadline: Early May
Pearl Hull Falk Scholarship
The trust was established under the Last Will and Testament of Mrs. Pearl Falk to provide annual scholarships to needy and worthy students attending the University of Iowa. Each recipient must be of the Protestant faith, a resident of the State of Iowa, and a full-time student at the University of Iowa. Application deadline if May 1st. Kirkwood - Leaders for Tomorrow Scholarship
The Leaders for Tomorrow Scholarship is for Iowa high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher (at the time of the application deadline)who are in the top half of their class. Up to 60 scholarships or $1,000 are awards to seniors who will be full-time Kirkwood students in the fall following high school graduation and can demonstrate strong leadership qualities. This scholarship is awarded during students' freshman year. At least one community and two high school leadership experiences are required during the junior and/or senior years of high school. Awarded: $1,000for fall, $1,000 for spring.

Kirkwood - The Presidential Scholarship
Iowa high school seniors who have ACT test scores of 25 or higher and 3.5 GPAs or higher are eligible for Presidential Scholarships. Up to 30 scholarships for $5,000 each are available to students who meet this criteria and who will be full-time Kirkwood students in the fall and spring following their high school graduations. This scholarship is awarded during students' freshman year. Awarded: $2,500 for fall, $2,500 for spring.

University of Iowa - Presidential Scholarship Program
This scholarship is open to first-year students at The University of Iowa. In this competition, 350 outstanding applicants will be named Old Gold Scholars and receive the Old Gold Scholarship worth $12,000 ($3,000 a year for four years). From the Old Gold Scholars, 20 students will be awarded Presidential Scholarships worth $40,000 ($10,000 a year for four years). The Presidential Scholars will also receive Old Gold Scholarships, so their total package from this competition will be worth $52,000 ($13,000 a year for four years).
To be eligible for the program, students must have:an ACT composite score of 30 or above and, an Admissions Index Score of 150 or above (*Admissions Index Score = (2 x ACT composite) + High School percentile rankan ACT composite score of 30 or above and a 3.90 cumulative grade-point average.
