AES Engineers Scholarship

Air Force ROTC
The Air Force ROTC program is for students interested in being an Officer in the Air Force. There are on-line HS Scholarship Programs for juniors and seniors. More information is available at www.afroct.com
All Iowa Opportunity Scholarship
The All Iowa Opportunity Scholarship is a state-funded program that provides scholarships to students who do well in high school and demonstrate financial need. Priority for awards will be given to students who participate in the Federal TRIO Programs while in high school, to applicants who graduate from alternative high schools or alternative high school programs, and to homeless youth. American Legion Auxiliary
The Second District American Legion Auxiliary will be awarding their annual Merit Award. The applicant must be either a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; or the daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, sister, wife, son, grandson, great-grandson, brother, widow, husband, or step relative of a WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam, Granada/Lebanon, Panama, Persian Gulf, or present conflict veteran. Anamosa Athletic Booster Scholarship

Anamosa Rotary Scholarship
The Anamosa Rotary Club awards one scholarship to a senior. As Rotary is a service club, emphasis will be place primarily on community service, as well as academic achievement and extra-curricular activities. Any senior who intends to further his/her education at any accredited institution of higher learning. Priority will be given to Interact Club members. Buena Vista University

Conservation District of Iowa
CDI is participating with local soil and water conservation districts (SWCD) to foster the higher education endeavors of Iowa student interested in conservation and agriculture by offering scholarships. Iowa High School Class of 2014 Students pursuing programs of study in any field of conservation or agriculture qualifies for the Conservation Scholarship. While this is a wide field and many studies qualify, preference will be given to students pursuing programs of study in conservation. Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Iowa
The Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Iowa is an organization that is a branch of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. Izaak Walton League Scholarship

John R. Chesire Aviation Scholarship
John R. Chesire is an Anamosa High School alumni, class of 1964. He has spent four decades in aviation, first as a United States Naval aviator and combat pilot, then later as a commercial airline pilot. This scholarship for an Anamosa graduating senior will be in the amount of 1,000.00. It is to be used to attend an accredited post-secondary program the school year immediately following graduation. Jones County Cattlemen's Scholarship
One scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to an outstanding student who is pursuing a career in agriculture. Fields of study may include: ag education, communications, production, research, or any other area involved with the agricultural industry.
Jones County Community Foundation Scholarship
The Jones County Community Foundation is offering two $1000 scholarships at each high school in Jones County. These scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who have demonstrated ‘community service’ in Jones County and are not based on scholastic performance. Keep Iowa Beautiful
The family of Robert E. Byers has established a scholarship through the Keep Iowa Beautiful Foundation for students enrolling in an Iowa college or university. The student must be pursuing studies in the environment, community services, conservation, public service or government, nonprofit management, landscape architecture, or community planning. Kirkwood - Leaders for Tomorrow Scholarship
The Leaders for Tomorrow Scholarship is for Iowa high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher (at the time of the application deadline)who are in the top half of their class. Up to 60 scholarships or $1,000 are awards to seniors who will be full-time Kirkwood students in the fall following high school graduation and can demonstrate strong leadership qualities. This scholarship is awarded during students' freshman year. At least one community and two high school leadership experiences are required during the junior and/or senior years of high school. Kirkwood - Presidential Scholarship
Iowa high school seniors who have ACT test scores of 25 or higher and 3.5 GPAs or higher are eligible for Presidential Scholarships. Up to 30 scholarships for $5,000 each are available to students who meet this criteria and who will be full-time Kirkwood students in the fall and spring following their high school graduations. Lewis A. Helphand Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the family of Lewis A. Helphand. Mr. Helphand was born and educated in Anamosa. The son of Russian-Jewish immigrants, he worked his way through school and moved to Chicago to work as a CPA. Throughout his life he never forgot his hometown, the value of education, and the value and rewards of honesty, decency, and hard work. Ross Brainard Scholarship
Class of 1972 Graduate Ross Brainard has established a new scholarship. He has established a $5,000 scholarship, which can be renewed each year through college if honor grades are maintained each semester. University of Iowa - Presidential Scholarship Program
This scholarship is open to first-year students at The University of Iowa. In this competition, 350 outstanding applicants will be named Old Gold Scholars and receive the Old Gold Scholarship worth $12,000 ($3,000 a year for four years). From the Old Gold Scholars, 20 students will be awarded Presidential Scholarships worth $40,000 ($10,000 a year for four years). The Presidential Scholars will also receive Old Gold Scholarships, so their total package from this competition will be worth $52,000 ($13,000 a year for four years).
To be eligible for the program, students must have:an ACT composite score of 30 or above and, an Admissions Index Score of 150 or above (*Admissions Index Score = (2 x ACT composite) + High School percentile rank and ACT composite score of 30 or above and a 3.90 cumulative grade-point average.
