During our last FLEX period some students were introduced to the art of “pysanky” or Ukranian egg making. This is an advanced form of egg dying that also involves a batik process. After getting a practice egg under their belt, students spent their time experimenting with shell emptying techniques, egg dye progression and wax application. They had so much fun comparing results and unveiling their own tiny masterpieces at the end of the day. Here are some snapshots of our egg adventures!
